Special Day in Yakima
Well on Saturday, our best buds Russ and Emily Carlson, had a very special day. They got their little girl sealed to them and they were able to bless her the next day at church. We had a wonderful time going to such a special event. Being adopted myself it was a very special experience to see my best friends go through the same thing my parents went through with me. Mirian is such a wonderful addition to Russ and Emily, and she will be a wonderful daughter-in-law some day! (wink, wink Emily). We had a great time but had to cut our trip short. James got food poisioning the night of the sealing and I was the only one who made it to the blessing on Sunday. We headed home right after the blessing, and James is now feeling a lot better. Enjoy the pictures from Saturday, we can't wait to see you guys again, we had a great time, all puking aside!!!

Lake Fun!!
We all went up to Lake Couer'd'alene (I am pretty sure that is spelled wrong) yesterday. It was a lot of fun for James and James Micheal. I didn't go in the water cause, well, I have had three kids, enough said. Makayla enjoyed splashing with her daddy, and Evan, got furious when his feet were dunked. We went with one of James' friend from work. James Micheal is like a fish in water and totally fearless. He sure loves it. Enjoy the picutres!

Rice Cereal...not so much!
So all of my children have hated rice cereal. James Micheal and Makayla both used to gag on it. And it turns out my little Evan is no exception. He went to the doctor for his well child check up today and he is doing great. The doctor said we could start him on rice cereal now, so I went home and ventured to try. The following pictures are exactly what happened when he tried it for the first time.
Hey mom, what ya got there.
What is this!

Get it out of my mouth now!!!

Making Quilts
I decided to make matching quilts for the boys that will go with their bunk beds when they move in together in about two years. I am doing it so early because, well, it might take me two years to make them, so I decided I better get started. I have been having a lot of fun having my mom teach me the art of making tie quilts. It has been a lot of hard work, and I hope to be able to do it for all my kids if I can. Here is a picture of me working on some of the fabric.
Ice Cream Man!!!
Well one of the joys of living in the city, is the sound of the ice cream truck coming down the lane. James Micheal had been saving two dollars he got from his daddy for about two weeks, waiting to hear the sound of the ice cream truck. Finally, we heard it and we ran out to the street with our bare feet. He picked out a sponge bob popsicle and ate it very happily. Here is a picture of him with his prized popsicle.
Happy 4th of July
