What I am Thankful For

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I thought it would be a good time to say what I am grateful for in my life:

1. FAMILY-I love my babies, soooo much. I have known so many people in my life, who were not able to have children or they have struggled with fertility for a long time. That is why I am so grateful for being able to have children so easily. I love being able to feel them kick inside of me, and seeing their faces the moment they are born. They have given me so much joy and happiness in my life, and I love them with a kind of love I never knew I could posess. I would do anything for them. I love each of their distinct and wonderful personalities. I love that they all look like their daddy and act like their daddy!

2. MAKAYLA- I don't even know how to tell you about how much Makayla means to me. She was my stumbling block and one of my greatest blessings of all time. She is definetly special, and everyone who has ever even met her knows that she is special. She is a special spirit that I am grateful the Lord saw fit for me to take care of here on earth. She brightens our lives and has brought our family to a level of closeness that could not have been obtained without her.

3. JAMES MICHEAL-What can I say, he is such a great kid. He is a wonderful big brother. I can tell the Lord sent him first to be the protector of his brother and sister. He is wild and crazy, already the class clown in primary, and cuddly. He loves to give hugs, and boy is he smart. I don't worry about him, because I know he is just like his father, and will turn out great.

4. EVAN- Wow! I can't believe it has almost been a year since we had him. All I can say is that he is the light of my life! He is always happy, such a cuddler, and boy does he love me. He is my little mamma's boy, and I LOVE IT. He is a bit stubborn, well, very stubborn, but I love him for it. He gave me lots of hope in my life and I will forever be grateful to him for that.

5. MY HUSBAND-James is a great guy. Always there when I need him, never selfish, and always hard working. He is a wonderful father, and our kids just love him so much. He makes up for all my short comings, which are many, and is pretty funny(probably only to me though). That he is always the first to tell me everything will be alright. I am grateful he lives the gospel and loves the gospel. That he married me, and that we are growing and learning together. I love ya babe!

6.MOM- I love ya mom, you get me, and I love that you get me!

7. MY IN-LAWS- What can I say, they are pretty awesome and supportive. Not everyone can say that about their in-laws!

8.THE GOSPEL-Last but not least, the church. I know that I have been so blessed to have the gospel in my life. I love that my family can be together forever. Enough said! Happy THANKGSGIVIG!

The First Snow, New Dress, and My Boys

Well the first snow was on Friday. James Micheal was so excited and couldn't wait to play in it. He made a snow angel and threw some snow balls at Daddy (he has been asking me when he can throw snow balls at dad since JUNE).

I also got a great idea from my cousin to repurpose an adult sweater into a sweater dress for Makayla. I am not a very good sewer and it was super easy! I just bought a old sweater from a thrift store and had it done it twenty minutes. I was pretty proud of myself and it will definetly be a good winter dress.

And last but not least, Evan and James were being so funny on the floor the other night I just had to take a picture. They sure are cute together. You can tell Evan already adores his older brother. I also took a picture of James Micheal right before his first primary program at church. He did so well. Enjoy!!!

Evan's First Tooth!!

Evan got his first tooth last Friday. He was sick at the same time so it took me a while to get a smiling picture of him. He is feeling good and is starting to really eat solid foods. He loves being held and being lazy, hopefully, he will crawl someday. he is doing good with a sippy cup too!

Our Halloween

We had a lot of fun this Halloween. James Micheal is old enough that he can really enjoy trick-or-treating. We went to our ward trunk-or-treat on Friday. It was a lot of fun and it definelty got James Micheal excited for Saturday. James Micheal was Spider Man. Makayla was a beautiful pumpkin, and got to enjoy trick-or-treating at The Guild School also. And Evan was our little sweet pea. They were all so cute and I had a lot of fun taking James Micheal. We went to one door though, and instead of saying trick-or-treat, he said,"Happy Birthday". The people at the door had a good laugh and then he realized what he said. It was pretty funny. Here are some pictures of the trunk-or-treat and the kids in their costumes. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of batteries half way through the night, so not too many pictures, Sorry, I realized I don't have one of James Micheal as Spider Man, I will post it later.

Weekend Project!!!!

So my wonderful mother-in-law took James Micheal for a three day weekend. Since, he was gone, and our other two don't move too much. We decided to take on a project. We finally painted our whole upstairs. And we love it. It matches really well now, and will go great with our new sectional we will be getting in a couple weeks. Here are some pictures.

Family Pictures!!

My mom came up today and took family pictures in Manito Park. It was chilly, but fun. My mom got some great pictures, and they will be gracing my walls soon. I can't believe how much our family has grown in 5 years, it is crazy and wonderful at the same time. Enjoy a few of my favorites.

What we have been up to!

James has been studying...a lot. He should be done by spring with SCC and move on to Eastern. Here is a pic of what he has been doing lately...
Don't ya just love his sexy pose.

I have been canning, canning, canning. I canned 59 jars of peaches and pears, and 15 jars of apple pie filling. I am tired, I don't want to can again for a long time. Probably till next fall. We had some leftover apples, so apple pie was made.

Evan has been u0p to eating. He is starting to finally like solids. He likes applesauce and carrots the best so far. Here is a picture of him in his high chair getting ready for dinner.

Evan is also learning to sit up and crawl. Here are some pictures of his attempts. He isn't very happy when he has to work, he's kind of lazy, kind of really lazy. So, his faces aren't always good. But, they make me laugh.

Makayla has been doing so awesome lately. She is talking all the time, going to school all by herself on the bus, and crawling around everywhere. Her two loves are eating, thus the high chair picture, and playing the piano and listening to music. She is such a joy to have around and makes us all laugh.

And last but not least, James Micheal, has been, well... James Micheal. He is a great big brother. Makayla and James just giggle to each other about nothing, like they have a secret only they know. He loves holding his little brother, and Evan just lights up whenever he is around. He learned how to ride a tricycle finally, and always has a story to tell you. He is so sweet and silly.

So, that is what has been going on in our family. We are finally taking a family picture tomorrow. We haven't had one since Evan has been born. So I am excited about that.Post more soon

James Micheal's 4th Birthday!!!

Our little boy is officially four years old. He had a great birthday party with his cousin Liam, who is nine days younger. His favorite presents were Lincoln Logs, Lego Star Wars (the game), and a whoopie cushion. We started his birthday on Friday, and went to the fair. It was so much fun, we have made it a tradition to go around his birthday and he just eats it up. He got to hold a bunny and a chicken. He got to pet goats, and sheep. He got his favorite ice cream and got to pick one ride to go on. He choose the little kid roller coaster, he was so excited.
The next day was his actual birthday. He wanted an Elmo Cake, so he got one. It only took me about an hour and a half to decorate this one, and James was just smiling from ear to ear. We had the birthday party and my brother's home, it was lots of fun and they both got their own pinata. It was a Star Wars/Elmo Party. They had a blast, busting up the pinatas' and grabbing candy like wild men. They both had big smiles when we sang happy birthday. It was a great day.

I am sad my little boy is growing up, but I am happy too. He is such a wonderful big brother, and always has a sweet smile on his face. He is so much like his father, quiet but loving. I love seeing the kind of person he is turning into. We love you James Micheal, Happy 4th Birthday!
