Evan's Diagnosis

Well we got some news today at the neurologist. Evan has a benign teratoma in his brain below his optic nerve. They do not believe it is cancer. He is being sent to a neurosurgeon and we will go from there. He will have to receive MRI's every 3-6 months to see if it is growing or if it starts to make him have seizures. We are hoping for the best and are thankful for everyone's prayers. If he does have to have surgery it will be through his nose and not through his skull, which is definitely good news. This will be a month by month day by day process, but we know that with our faith we will be able to get through this. Thanks again for all your love and support. Also, this tumor is not the cause of his delays. The genetic testing should be back in a few weeks. If that comes up clear, than our Evan is just our Evan and he is getting all the therapies and help that he possibly could. Thanks again everyone!!

What we have been up to this month!

I hate to say this, but I am actually always busy. I didn't think it was possible, but it has happened, I rarely have a spare moment, and when I do, it is usually to make more appointments or take a shower:) We are all doing really well. Makayla had her first number 2 on the potty two days ago. Huge accomplishment for her and she loved to get the candy. I am not sure how much time I can spend potty training right now, due to well let's see my 3 and a half month old! But I do plan on going full throttle with the potty training late spring to early summer. I hope she is fully day potty trained by September. Send good vibes my way people, I am going to need it! James Micheal is well 5 and acting like 5 year old boys do (FRUSTRATING) but he is all registered for kindergarten next year and is very excited about it. Evan gets his MRI and genetic testing done on Friday. How am I feeling about it? NERVOUS, very nervous. Not about them finding something, just the whole being put under thing, which always makes me antsy for my kiddos! Makayla has been through it before, when she was about 2 days old with an MRI, but I didn't really have to see her get put under or anything because I was recovering as well. Luckily James will be coming with me so that should curb my anxiety a little. Evan also received his new orthotics last week and he loves them. I haven't noticed a difference in his stepping patterns yet, but he does seem more balanced when he tries to stand in them. Sadie is doing great and rolled over the other day. YAYAYA! All signs so far point that she will not run into the same issues that the middle two have had so far. We are estatic about that and the fact that she pretty much SLEEPS ALL NIGHT!!!!! So here is a picture of my precious after this very long post. She's about 3 days old, in this picture, I can't believe how much she is already growing up!! And that is all that is new with us for the moment!

My 3 month old and the Ev-Bot!!

This is my 3 month old:

She is quite possibly the cutest baby alive!! She is such a coo baby! Everything is gurgles and coo's. Which is definitely the cutest thing I have ever seen=) She is quickly going bald, and I hate to report it, but this girl has blonde roots. I doubt anyone will say she looks like me anymore, once the blondness takes over. Oh well, we had a good run! She loves everyone in the house, especially James Micheal, she lights up for that kid! We love her to death and pretty much want to eat her up and all her rolls too (which are several). The Pillsbury Dougboy has nothing on our Sadie.

Now I give you the Ev-Bot!!

Definitely the cutest 2 year old! Let me tell you that kid loves him a blanket. Just thought I would show you how cute my kids are and make you all jealous. It's ok... be jealous, I don't blame you, they're pretty AWESOME!!

So GUESS WHAT!!

So my Makayla turned 4 today, which was totally surreal!! I am literally in total shock about how big she is now. She had a wonderful birthday full of opening presents and eating at her favorite restaurant(Tomato Street). My mom came up and took some pictures and brought us a yummy ice cream cake for Makayla, she loved it!! She got an awesome apron from her Great Grandma, a pillow pet, pretty dresses from both Grandma Mac and Grandma Divis. She also got some pants and a cute little stuffed bear too. She loved all her presents, thanks to everyone who thought of her! She had a great birthday!!

Now, to explain the title. Makayla for the first time at Evan's school, stood up on her own!!! Not only did she stand up on her own, she walked to me and was basically chasing me around all over the Guild School Gym. She will not crawl around the house hardly at all anymore, if she wants to go somewhere she stands up and walks there!! All I can say is YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so happy about her progress. She is doing so amazing. It was funny because that day I was just thinking about how much I wanted her to walk and stand on her own, we have been very patient with her(stubborness), and I was starting to worry. All I can say is the Lord truley does answer prayers, and Evan is doing awesome in group therapy!! Heavenly Father sure knows how to make things come together when it really means something to you. I am so grateful and happy for Makayla and Evan and the steps they are taking in their lives, they are my greatest teachers.

Happy Birthday Angel Girl, you are so loved!!!

Sadie's Blessing

We blessed Sadie on Sunday February 6th in the Moran Prairie Ward. My mom made her a beautiful dress, it was full of sparkle but very understated, which I think describes Sadie to a "T". She looked so precious! I almost started balling when I put the dress on her, that is how beautiful she looked. Thanks so much for the dress mom, it made her special day even more special! Her daddy blessed her with kindness and to care for her brothers and sisters. Did you hear that SISTERS(plural)! I don't stake anything on it but I do know that Sadie only has one sister right now! Her daddy also blessed her that she would do well in her schooling, health and strength, and that she would gain a testimony of the gospel. All of those are pretty good things!!

Our dear friends, Russ and Emily came to visit us this weekend also for Sadie's blessing. We had a great time even though I came down with the deadly strep James Micheal had last week. We went out to dinner for James' birthday on Friday and they had a Halo party after. That is when my fever took off and didn't stop until 2 days later. Russ and Emily were great, cleaned my house, watched my kids, and help make dinners, while I laid like a heap of dead skin on the couch. James came down with it Sunday night after they left and is just now getting over it!
All in all it was a great weekend besides the almost dying part! It was worth it to have our little Sadie blessed.

She was blessed by her Daddy, Grandpa McIntire, Grandpa Divis, Great Grandpa Divis,(Great Uncle) Rip Divis,(Second Cousin) Russ Golding,(Friend) Chris English,(Uncle) Jordan Divis, (friend)Russ Carlson, (Uncle William) Divis, and (Great Uncle) Steve Dege. Yeah...a lot of people love our little Sadie.

Here are some pictures of our little girl on her special day, thanks to my mom!

Cake and Turtle Bum!

So I had to get a picture of Sadie in her turtle bum tights, that her Aunt Mariah made her. They are so cute, but she seems to blow out of them anytime I am about to take a picture, so I put her in them right after her bath today, and they are already getting a little tight. She is growing so fast. So her is my ode to turtle bum.

Oh yes, and here are pictures of Evan enjoying his cupcake on his birthday. The mess was worth the cuteness!

Evan my 2 year old!!

Well my Ev-bot turned two today. Let's see...what do I love most about my Evan. Definitely his smile, it is probably the best cheesy grin I have ever seen. I love that he can say everything by saying nothing at all. I love that he loves his new little sister and tries to "pet" her anytime she is laying on the couch. I love the way he giggles when his daddy throws him about ten feet up in the air. I love the way he waves good-bye to everyone when he is heading downstairs to go to bed. I love the way he eats a McDonald's Cheeseburger, it is hilarious, you have to see it to know how funny it is. I love the way he likes to dip his food in ketchup with his pinkies up.

Evan is a one of a kind kid and we sure do love him. He may not talk yet, but he can express himself so well with his "faces". He can't walk yet, but boy does that kid crawl with stealth and get into everything. We love you Evan. Love Mom, Dad, James Micheal, Makayla, and Sadie. Here is a picture of my big boy on his birthday!

Adorableness and Family Picture

Ok, first for the adorableness:

This little sweetness if officially 6 weeks old today, and gave me her first camera smile. She is chunking out soo much already! No more newborn clothes and the 0-3 months I don't think will fit for more than a month more! She is growing up too fast already!! On a side note, my little Evan will be 2 tomorrow! BOOOOO!

And here is our first family picture with Sadie in it. Excuse the chubbiness of me and enjoy the chubbiness of my others, and yes, Russ, Evan has a major comb over that will be fixed soon!

Something to be Grateful For

I don't often get to personal in my blog postings. But something really touched me today about how I wanted to spend this coming year. Recently, I read off of someone's blog who I don't know, but I kinda blog-stock, about a tragic death of one of their beloved children. It really bothered me mostly because their little one reminded me a lot of my Evan. It just hurt my heart so much to see someone go through such a terrible tragedy, but reading about them and their faith in the Savior, just made me realize how little time I spend being grateful for my blessings. I just want to be thankful and have a better attitude about life in general. What a blessing my children are to me, and the fact that I can be with them eternally is an even greater blessing. So here are some things or someone's, I should say, that I am grateful for... Four Crazies piled up on Daddy!

Our newest little blessing Sadie!

My silly boys!

My Miss Makayla!
Today I am truly grateful for all I have been given, and hope I can remember this all year!

Can I just say...

That I am absolutely in love with this little girl. Sadie and I got to spend some alone time together last night and today. James took a little trip to Colville to pick up James Micheal with the other kids leaving me home with Sadie for a break. I have loved all my newborns, but I am trying my hardest to remember Sadie this little. She has quite the cry, unlike any of the other children, and she is a projectile spitter-upper. My mom said I was a projectile child, so she must be following in my footsteps. She takes a binky very well, which I am super excited about and is hardly fussy,as of right now! She does look like her siblings, but James and I agree she is definitely different, as in more Audra than James. Which is nice, after having three James clones' I think I finally might have a look a like. She is so adorable. I guess I might be gushing a little bit, but if anyone can gush, it's me right?

Sadie Belle Divis

Well, after feeling like waiting forever, our little Sadie finally arrived. She was born at 3:12 pm on December 9th, 2010. She was 8 pounds and 3 ounces. And a whopping 20 inches long. Here are some pictures of her. I will be going into more detail about her birth on my preggy blog. I figured that a lot of people aren't going to want to read it, but I would like to write it down for journal purposes.

James and I leaving for the hospital:

No Sadie Yet!

Well after the weirdest false labor weekend of my life, I still have no little girl. She has dropped this weekend. I mean really dropped, if she was any lower, she wouldn't be in my tummy anymore. I go to the doctor tomorrow, and I am hoping by some miracle he will get my labor going. If not, I will be getting induced on the 10th, let's just hope I don't make it till then. Here is me at 38 weeks and 4 days, and yes this is the last time I am going to be doing my hair and makeup until this girl is on the outside. I will post on my baby blog tomorrow, if I have any news.

A Little Update on Sadie!

Well, I went to the doctor yesterday, and got some good news and bad news. Warning if you don't like hearing words like dialation, then don't read this. So I went to the doctor, to get my weekly check now that I am in my last month. I had been feeling pretty cruddy lately. I was having lots of braxton hicks, and I could tell her head was dropping into my pelvis. So, I told the doctor and he checked me. Turns out I am already dialated to a three and her head is well into my pelvis.

Let's just say that Dr. Fern was not very happy about this, she isn't quite full term, so if she was born now she would have to be in the hospital for at least a week to make sure her lungs were developed. Which, I really don't want, I have had a girl in the NICU before and it was not FUN! So he said I had to try my hardest to keep her in me for at least a week and a half if not two weeks! So how do you keep a baby in you for that much longer, when she obviously wants to come too early? STRICT REST. My doctor said to lay down for most of the day, no lifting, no housework that is strenuous, no anything!!

Which is very frustrating, because I have been feeling very good this pregnancy, but I don't want her to come early. So my house may be messy and my kids unkept, but I am going to try my hardest to make sure this baby girl is full term. My husband put is perfect, when he said," Did you ever think you would be put on rest so that a baby could stay inside of you?" Never in a million years!! I always want them to come early, but not this early.

Sorry this post is so long, but I am trying to curb my anxiety by writing it down. Happpy Thanksgiving everyone. Let's pray I make it to the first week of December.

So One ER Visit Later

It has been 5 glorious years of James Micheal not having any major catastrophes that we have had to go to the ER, until...today. Our James Micheal swallowed a magnet at 1:30 in the afternoon. I was just getting ready to clean the bathroom, Evan was down for a nap, and James Micheal was getting ready to watch a movie. He came crying into the room saying he swallowed a rock and that the doctors were going to have to cut him open. I called James, luckily he was heading home from work. I woke up Evan and took him and James to the ER. James got to the ER when I did, so he took over and I went to go pick up Makayla from school.

After I picked up Makayla, I had to go to my ultrasound for Sadie, so Makayla came with me. Sadie is doing well and is huge. I am going to be induced December 10th if I don't have her till then...which I doubt, I always go early.

Back to James Micheal, I got back from my appointment and they had to do an X-ray to see if the magnet had moved far enough down for him to pass it and to make sure there was only one in there. I stayed and James took the other two home for dinner. I couldn't go into the X-ray with him because of the baby in my belly, but he was a champ and didn't cry once.

Luckily the magnet is far enough down that he can pass it normally, I just get the joy of making sure it passes. YUCK!! Oh the joys of being a mom. Here is his X-ray!! My poor little dude, at least he learned his lesson and got a cheeseburger for being such a good sport.
