Yeah...that sums it up!

Emily being shy...

This is the only good 4D shot we got of Emily today. They had to check a few things just to be cautious. As soon as any medical professional reads our child history they automatically assume that everything could be wrong so they treat me a little different. Luckily, Emily looks great and even pouted when they jabbed her to make her move her hands off her face. She looks so much like Sadie, with a tad of Makayla, a perfect combo I would say. She has both her orbitals and lenses and her heart and brain looked wonderful, and yes, she is still a little girl! We love our Emily Camille so much already...I can't wait to meet her. On another note...I am measuring 10 weeks larger than I should. As in my uterus says I am 34 weeks preggers, not 25 weeks which I actually am. The doctor said he had never had that much of a growth difference, and said that there was really no reason for it and that all other fluids looked normal. He didn't seemed worried just super shocked. NO WONDER I have been such a mess,my body has been horrid to me this last couple weeks and now I know why, my body must be an overachiever, well at least Emmy has lots of room to grow! Here is her one good picture, I have a feeling she will be very reserved like Evan and Makayla were, she really seems to have the same disposition in utero....

Emmy's Crafts

I haven't been able to do as many things for Emmy, as I got to for Sadie, mostly because Sadie is here now, and she is nutters, so very few things get done and mostly at odd hours of the night! Here is a few of the projects I have done for her. I am still working on a knit and crochet blanket. They will take time, and probably wont be done until right before she is born. Here is a rug, name plaque, sewn blanket, and car seat canopy I made her.

Makayla Grace is 5!!!

I write this post with a heavy heart....I have another five year old. There is something about that age that just makes me realize their childhood is slipping through my fingers. Makayla has had a wonderful birthday celebration this weekend, which will continue till tomorrow. On Friday, Our buds, Russ and Emily came with their adorable daughter Mirian! On Saturday morning Grandma and Grandpa Divis came by to give Makayla presents. She got a beautiful blue dress, an awesome guitar/piano/drum electronic recorder, a sweet stuffed love bug, and some awesome candy. Saturday night we went to her favorite restaurant-Tomato Street! She got a special birthday brownie and ice cream. Her actual birthday was Sunday, she got sung to in Primary, a giant card from her class, and a candy bar voucher from the Bishop. We came home had some White Texas Sheet Cake (Yum), and sang her Happy Birthday. She gets to go to Grandma and Grandpa Macs tomorrow for cupcakes and pizza, and her preschool will celebrate her b-day tomorrow.

We decided not to make a big fuss and throw a huge party, because she is not a big party person. She is low key and quiet in those situations and doesn't act like herself very much.

Here is a picture we took of the whole family on Sunday:

And one of her with her hair in curlers, she loves getting her hair in curlers, and she actually keeps them in all night long, it looks gorgeous when it's done!

Now Sap: What can I say about Makayla that could truly express to everyone and my Heavenly Father how grateful I am for her? There are no words...she is a special daughter of God that I do not always feel worthy to raise or be the mother of. I am so grateful for the selflessness, kindness, patience and Christ-like love she continues to show and teach me. I am grateful my other children have the opportunity to share bloodlines and an eternal bond with her. She is a part of my heart and I love her so much!!! We love you KayKay...Mom,Dad,James,Evan,Sadie,and Emily!

It's Another.....

So it's official, we are adding another Girl to the Divis Clan! I was in total and complete shock. I really felt like this baby was definitley a boy! But as soon as I found out I was thrilled, and shocked. She looks so much like Sadie. She looked perfectly healthy and was very shy.

Here are my ultrasound pictures.
Our official name for the baby is Emily Camille Divis. We had originally decided on another name, but as soon as James and I found out it was a girl, the name wasn't right. This is the name that popped into both our heads, so I know it is her name, I am so excited for our little Emily to get here, and I pretty much have everything from Sadie,so win-win.

Evan's Third Birthday Party At Grandma and Grandpa Mac's

So this Saturday Evan will be my three year old. Sad, sad, sad day...We had an early celebration at my mom's house last night because we will be in Yakima visting friends on his birthday. I was going to pick up James Micheal from my moms, because he got to have a sleepover for the holiday weekend. Well, it soon turned into a celebration for Evan. My sweet and very talented sister-in-law made delicious chocolate caramel cupcakes. And his favorite meal of all time, mac and cheese and hot dogs. He also got presents. All candy...he was over the moon, the kid loves chocolate as much as I do! My mom took some adorable pictures! This one is my favorite by far!!

I will say that Evan has had a lot happen to him in his second year of life. He has had 2 MRI's, blood tests, x-rays, and eye exams. He has handeled them all like such a champ. He is walking or should I say running everywhere. He has a lot of very clear words now and is excited to start preschool next week. He has such a sweet and gentle spirit. I have never run across someone like him in my whole life. His Spirit just exudes from him, he has the love of Christ in him. I love the way he takes care of babies and talks to them. I love the faces he makes, they are hilliarous. I love how he snuggles with us on the couch, and hugs us so tight you feel every bit of love in it. He is a wonderful son and I am so grateful to be his mother. We love you Evan!!!

Life...

Life is going great. James Micheal did not like getting his tonsils out and the recovery has been horrid, but I have a feeling the benefits will be wonderful once he feels better. Makayla is loving being back to school. Evan turns 3 this month. Crazy! He runs everywhere, starting to say more words, and starts preschool on the 23rd! Sadie is going to be walking in a week guaranteed. I am so proud of her, she says a few words and is well on her way to being a wild toddler. James starts school again on the ninth, and has been working his tush off. I am almost halfway through my pregnancy, and starting to feel pretty darn good. I am excited to find out what the baby will be. I usually have a feeling one way or another, but I just don't this time. I am totally stumped. I will update with pictures soon. But we are all doing well and loving life!

Sadie's Birthday Party!

Sadie had a great birthday party with family on Saturday. She got lots of adorable clothes and a fun ball popper and princess chair. She loves that chair, but she doesn't know how to sit in it, which makes her and Evan fighting over it even more hilarious. Today she just tried to lay on it so Evan couldn't grab it. Her Aunt Mariah, made her the cutest little cake, that was very Sadie-esque. Here are the wonderful pictures my mom took. We love you SADIE!!!

Sadie is ONE!!

So it is official our little Sadie Belle is one! BOOOOOOOOOOOOO! We are so happy and sad that our little girl is growing up! She can say a lot of things: Mamma, Dadda,BaBa(bottle), No, hi, yay,nigh-nigh(Night Night), and bye! She can wave hi and bye, loves to dance, and as of last night folds her arms for prayers. She is standing on her own for long periods, and has already taken her first steps. I believe in a month or two she will be walking. She can also throw fits like no other child we have ever had. It is actually like a process that she goes through. Hiliarous and yet annoying during church for some reason. She is our little firecracker that is for sure.

Now for the sap. Sadie has been a very welcomed child in our family. She gives us so much hope and excitement for our future. I am always so happy to see her every morning. I bawled the day she was born, because she meant so much to me in that moment of time in my life, and she still does. It is so fun to see how much she fits into our family and has added such an entertaining level to it. She really loves James Micheal and follows him everywhere like a puppy. Evan and her are starting to find common ground, and I am sure will be friends someday! Makayla and her do not spend much time with each other but when they do, I see the sisterly bond between them, Sadie has been the only child that Makayla has actually liked and worried about in our family, and I enjoy seeing their relationship blossom. Well that is all, Sadie is awesome and is just doing so well. We love you Sadie, love mom, dad, james, makayla, evan, and little bean number 5!

Losing Teeth and Black Eyes!

Well, James Micheal lost his first tooth last night. He came up to us after dinner and told us his bottom tooth was loose. He constantly says his teeth are loose, so I didn't pay much attention until he started wiggling it with his tongue. What can I say...it was gross. I told James M. we didn't need to pull it out yet. Then he cried for about 5 minutes wondering what he wanted to do. He kept saying I don't want to pull it out, it will hurt..ya know yada, yada, yada. Well we just ignored him. Well, he stopped crying..came up to me and said,"I pulled it out." and handed me the tooth. I was just in shock, he had literally just been crying about not wanting to do it, then he just did. It was hilarious. Anyways, he got his dollar from the tooth fairy and was very excited and can't wait till he looses the next one.

Evan got a black eye from running around with James Micheal, until he conveniently fell on the very edge of the ottoman. He looks like a tough toddler who got in a fight at the sandbox. What can I say, that kid is the most accident prone kid I have EVER MET...besides myself. Here is his shiner.

And I threw in a couple of pictures of the girls because they never have any black eyes or bloody mouths. I guess they are just too perfect. These boys will put me in an early grave. Enjoy!

My Thankful Post...

It is that time of year again. Time for me to spill my guts on what I am grateful for this year. Last year I was thankful that Sadie was going to be born very soon. I am in shock that this year I will be thankful my morning sickness is going to be over very soon. So, I am doing it now, since I have a belly full of ginger ale, and I am in a moderately good mood today!

1.Faith-James an I have had our faith tested in many ways this last year. Faith that we would survive James quitting his full time job and going to school full time. Faith that Sadie would be alright. Faith that Evan would pull through his delays and brain tumor. Faith that I could potty train Makayla. Faith that James Micheal would do well in school. And Faith that having another baby so quickly would be a blessing. I would have to say I am very grateful for the opportunities I have had to have faith this year.

2. Trials-I know it seems like a weird thing to be grateful for, but I am. I am grateful that the Lord has decided that we should not settle for being mediocre. There is so much we can achieve in life, if only we choose to let the trials in and let them consume us for awhile, and then...we pull through, stronger and better. I know there have been times in my life where I thought it was impossible to pull out of it, but I did, with trust in the Lord, and it made me better and more sympathetic to those around me.

3.Prayer/Priesthood- When we found out about Evan's brain tumor I have never felt so drawn to prayer and priesthood blessings, not even with Makayla. I was afraid, not of the future but of the faith I would have to put in God's hands. It was scary to have something in my life that was so uncontrollable. But God showed me a better way, He made me rely on Him completely. And I know our whole family is better for it especially James and I!!

4. Kids- I know you guys were wondering when it was coming. Let's see...my kids are amazing. I know a lot of people look at us and say how do you do it. Makayla was a surprise but Evan was the curve ball. But I would not have changed when we had them or who they are for anyone or anything. Sure, I struggle daily with their issues, but I also thank the Lord for them. Who would I be without any of them...pretty pathetic and selfish. I believe God has a plan for each of them and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their existence. And I am excited for this new baby. Even though he or she is making me sick like no other, I thank God for this fifth chance at being a good mom. And truly learning to be a selfless person. And when you think about who was the most selfless person on earth you think of Christ. So they are truly making me more Christlike!

5. The Hubby- Umm...James is incredible. He supports me in everything. The kids,my hobbies, my dreams, and my trials. He always puts himself second and third! He works so hard for us and the kids. I know I joke that James thinks I am crazy for having all these babies, but we both know that we made the choice Heavenly Father wanted us to make with Him. He was actually closer to the Spirit then I was when it came to this fifth baby. He knew it was time,he had to convince me along with the Lord, but I am grateful for his humble and spiritual leadership. I love ya!

There are a lot more things, but come on I am tired and I want to dry heave so you know. I love you all. Have a Great Thanksgiving!!

Halloween!!

Well James and I battled the beast of all beasts today! Trick or Treating with 4 kids, 6 and under. Yeah we are awesome like that. Makayla was an adorable pirate, Sadie was supposed to be a ladybug, but being Sadie, hated her costume and went into fit throwing everytime it got put on her, so we settled for her pink lepard coat and called it good. Evan was a dinosaur, he was soooooo cute. He would go up to the door, put his bucket down, smack the door, get candy then not say anything, wait till the shut the door, then he would say "BYE!", as loud as he could, it was ADORABLE. James Micheal was Optimus Prime all day, even at his Kindergarten Party, which they don't allow costumes at school. LAME!!! TOTALLY LAME! Well, I didn't get that memo, so he went anyway and had fun telling people he wished he could turn into a truck. My morning sickness was raging all day, but stopped long enough for me to enjoy a good hour out with my babies, and my husband... Here are my kidlets right before,we left for the night!

The Kiddo's

I thought I needed to add some recent pictures of the children, since I haven't for a while. Everyone is doing really well. James Micheal loves Kindergarten and is enjoying the learning environment. Makayla is doing great in Preschool. They are thinking about keeping her another year to make sure she is completely ready for Kindergarten, I am not sure how I feel about that yet, I really only wanted James Micheal to be a year ahead of her, but I guess the answers will come when the time is right about that. Evan is loving the Guild School. Runs everywhere now,and will also be attending preschool in February, when he turns 3. His language is still not where it needs to be so hoping this will help. Sadie is crawling, standing up on furniture, and starting to cruise. She is enjoying eating lots of meals with us, and knows how to say Momma and Dadda. She is also learning how to drink out of a sippy cup. That is about all that is happening right now. Here are some pictures I took today.

Relief in A General Conference Talk

I found this conference talk, so amazing after looking through the General Conference Recordings, I realized I missed this one:( But wow, it was amazing, and I really felt like it was given to me:) I have been struggling ever since we had Sadie, to have to show everyone, even those in our family that we had made the right decisions as far as our family was concerned. I have had to defend myself a lot. But this talk just let me know that the choices James and I have made for our family were right. Which is a relief:) And that James, I, and the Lord had made the decisions based on our faith. All I can say is AMEN!

Weekend Fun!

So Russ and Emily came to visit with my daughter-in-law, Mirian. It was so nice of them to bring her back to her "real" home. Anyways...we had a great time, I made Emily sick and also probably made her gain ten pounds. Played a fun game of Egytpian Rat Killer, and went to Greenbluff. We had a great time getting lost in a maze of corn....I think it was fun at least. Here are some pictures. *Makayla is not in said pictures because she went up to Grandma and Grandpa Divis' for conference weekend. We missed her but she had a great time, and we had a wonderful time with you guys, can't wait to see you guys again!!
* EMILY these are possible engagement photos...just thinking ahead

James Micheal Turns 6!!!

Well, it is official, I have a six year old. I can't believe how quickly he has grown. He got to open his presents first thing in the morning. He got Harry Potter Legos, Transformer coloring book, army men,and a bag of candy. He requested homemade cinnamon rolls. Camille I used your recipe and he loved them. He requested a car cake this year. But he wanted Texas Sheet Cake(Recipe from Emily), so this is what we came up with.

We are going to the fair as soon as Makayla gets home from school. It just so happens that the fair falls on his birthday every year,so we go every year.

Now the sappy part...I love James Micheal so much, he is such a special little man,and having him changed my life immediately. He was a wonderful baby, an interesting toddler, and now an adventurous boy. He is a wonderful helper to me and his brother and sisters. I have know doubt he will be a wonderful example and a great man. Happy Birthday James Micheal, we love you!!!!
