Good News for Makayla!
Well after the six hour blood draw test to check Makayla's growth hormone, we have good news. She doesn't need any!! I was really surprised. We honestly thought this would be the end of the easy stuff with Makayla and we would have to start with the tests and shots and blah, blah, blah. But no...once again the girl defies doctors and the medical world in general. So, she has no need for growth hormone supplement right now and will be checked again in a year...we aren't naive enough to think we are completely done with this. It's always nice to get good news. The only other "thing" we have to do with her this year is get her eye surgery to try and make her right side look a little more normal. This will be her only plastic surgery and the chances of it working are 50/50..but I would rather do it than have her resent us later because we didn't. That surgery is scheduled for August 24th and we are hoping she will pull through it well and be ready for school 2 weeks later. SO...that is my good news for the day! I am hoping my doc can get some things rolling for me today, so this other little girl will make her appearance soon. This is honestly the only good week for her arrival!

2 Teeth less!
James Micheal lost his two front teeth today. After a lot of crying and screaming on James Micheal's part we got them out. They were just wiggling and he couldn't eat anything hardly because it hurt to eat, so we told him it was time. The first one we tied a string to and by the time we were done, it pretty much came out on its own. We were debating on who would pull the string when James Micheal comes up to us and says' "HELLO!!". The tooth has already fallen out. The other one, we told him we needed to get the blood off his tooth, and James just yanked it out! He is already talking funny, but is happy they are out now. Oh the joys of growing children. Awkward stage begins now!!

The Kid's New Portraits.
Luckily I have a wonderful mother who takes pictures of my kids whenever I want her too. I have 8x10's of each of the kids on my dining room wall, I was contemplating how I needed to move them over to make room for Emily's newborn photo, when I realized that Sadie's is from when she is about 4 months old! Yeah she has changed a bit since then. Evan...pretty much looks the same, that kid never changes! But here they are. My mom just gets better and better. I really love Makayla's too, she is really smiling for the camera! Oh and James Micheal looks like he is ten, that kids goes through a growth spurt once a month. I can't believe Emily will be joining the rosy cheek gang so soon!

My Mother's Day!
What a wonderful mother's day I had this year. It started with yummy apple cream crepes and bacon for breakfast!! My husband is an amazing cook, he also bathed and washed all the kids, cleaned up the kitchen and living room, and did the dishes, and let me sleep in. WONDERFUL!! We went to church and the highlight of the day was watching James Micheal run crying from the pulpit during the primary song. He didn't know the words, got scared and embarrassed and took off running. Everyone was giving him this look like they had so much pity on him, but I was just laughing so hard I could barely contain myself. It was a great memory either way, and I loved that he is such a tender heart!! All the kids, except for Sadie of course, gave me homemade presents they made at school. Evan gave me a cute magnet picture of him, Makayla gave me a marigold and her name brailled on a card. James Micheal gave me an awesome butterfly he made and my first handwritten card from him! I loved them all, I think I need to have a file for all their presents over the years. We went to my parents after church and James got to talk to Dustin and Will who are both on their missions right now. We had yummy kabobs and smores after dinner!!! My mom took great pictures of the kids in their sticky glory. All in all a wonderful night. I am so grateful I can be a mom to these wonderful little kidlets. They are getting too old already!

Emmy's Quilt...
is done!! I won't say it is perfect, I know its not actually but I do like how it turned out. For my first quilt I say it turned out a lot better than I thought I could do on my own. Either way I am sure Emmy will like the bright colors during tummy time and spitting up all over it. I am glad I did a special blanket for her, I think it shows how I feel about each of the kids when I make them a keepsake as babies. I feel like it shows how I think of them as individuals and not as a group. I can't wait to meet her!!

Spur of the moment.
So my husband is super awesome. He is super awesome because Friday morning he called and told me we were going to Seattle with the family and having a spur of the moment trip. He wanted us to go somewhere before I had Emmy. Let's just say we have gone through a lot of stressful things in the last month and a half and everyone needed a break. With MRI's, exams under anesthia, blood testing, genetics testing, influenza A, hand foot and mouth, and a crazy school schedule and tough pregnancy....yeah, we were drained. It was nice to go to the science center, play in the park, and go to ikea. The kids were spoiled with candy and eating whatever they wanted. James was wonderful and carried and chased everything and everyone. And I got some great foot and back rubs from my sons and hubby. Here are pictures in no particular order. And the one of Sadie was just a funny shot James took at home. She did love the mirrored doors at the hotel. She would kiss and talk to her reflection at least three times a day. So cute!! Here is my adorable family, I can't wait till little Emmys smiles are added to the gaggle!!!

Sunglasses, Spongebob, and a Brailler!
This is my daughter Sadie, she has new sunglasses
She looks really cute in them and knows it!
This is my son Evan, he has no fashion sense!
But, he is cute and I love him.
This is my daughter Makayla. She loves playing with her brailler and loves naming the parts. I am so impressed by how much she learns everyday!
I do have another son...but he is too busy soaking up the sunshine right now!
My kids are growing up too fast!

Maternity Pictures
So I had my mom take maternity pictures of me this last weekend. I decided I wanted to do it a little earlier since I am about as big as I was at 33 weeks with Sadie right now! I got to do a few with James which I really loved and haven't really done before. I am 29 and a half weeks in these pictures!

Easter
Well Easter was full of Easter things. We dyed eggs with the kids at home on Friday. James Micheal loved playing with the dyes and vinegar and baking soda explosions are his new favorite science experiment.

On Saturday afternoon we went to my mom and dads and had a giant Easter egg hunt. Luckily, Uncle Brandon hid all the eggs for us since I didn't think I would do my best with the giant belly that looms on me these days. Liam and James Micheal sure had a blast and Sadie just wanted to eat her candy. Evan had fun finding all the ground eggs and Makayla loved finding the coin eggs because of the sound they made. We had a wonderful Ham Dinner, thanks to Callie...and lots of fun.

On Sunday we went up to Colville and went to church with James' parents. We came home and had yummy pizza and a bunch of desserts with extended family. I wasn't able to get pictures of Sunday but it was fun! The kids also got their Easter baskets on Sunday morning and lets just say chocolate was everywhere and I am sure there are still fingerprints all over my house! All in all it was a great Easter and a wonderful way to remember the resurrection of the Savior and what it means to us.

Emily being shy...
This is the only good 4D shot we got of Emily today. They had to check a few things just to be cautious. As soon as any medical professional reads our child history they automatically assume that everything could be wrong so they treat me a little different. Luckily, Emily looks great and even pouted when they jabbed her to make her move her hands off her face. She looks so much like Sadie, with a tad of Makayla, a perfect combo I would say. She has both her orbitals and lenses and her heart and brain looked wonderful, and yes, she is still a little girl! We love our Emily Camille so much already...I can't wait to meet her. On another note...I am measuring 10 weeks larger than I should. As in my uterus says I am 34 weeks preggers, not 25 weeks which I actually am. The doctor said he had never had that much of a growth difference, and said that there was really no reason for it and that all other fluids looked normal. He didn't seemed worried just super shocked. NO WONDER I have been such a mess,my body has been horrid to me this last couple weeks and now I know why, my body must be an overachiever, well at least Emmy has lots of room to grow! Here is her one good picture, I have a feeling she will be very reserved like Evan and Makayla were, she really seems to have the same disposition in utero....

Emmy's Crafts
I haven't been able to do as many things for Emmy, as I got to for Sadie, mostly because Sadie is here now, and she is nutters, so very few things get done and mostly at odd hours of the night! Here is a few of the projects I have done for her. I am still working on a knit and crochet blanket. They will take time, and probably wont be done until right before she is born. Here is a rug, name plaque, sewn blanket, and car seat canopy I made her.

Makayla Grace is 5!!!
I write this post with a heavy heart....I have another five year old. There is something about that age that just makes me realize their childhood is slipping through my fingers. Makayla has had a wonderful birthday celebration this weekend, which will continue till tomorrow. On Friday, Our buds, Russ and Emily came with their adorable daughter Mirian! On Saturday morning Grandma and Grandpa Divis came by to give Makayla presents. She got a beautiful blue dress, an awesome guitar/piano/drum electronic recorder, a sweet stuffed love bug, and some awesome candy. Saturday night we went to her favorite restaurant-Tomato Street! She got a special birthday brownie and ice cream. Her actual birthday was Sunday, she got sung to in Primary, a giant card from her class, and a candy bar voucher from the Bishop. We came home had some White Texas Sheet Cake (Yum), and sang her Happy Birthday. She gets to go to Grandma and Grandpa Macs tomorrow for cupcakes and pizza, and her preschool will celebrate her b-day tomorrow.
We decided not to make a big fuss and throw a huge party, because she is not a big party person. She is low key and quiet in those situations and doesn't act like herself very much.
Here is a picture we took of the whole family on Sunday:

And one of her with her hair in curlers, she loves getting her hair in curlers, and she actually keeps them in all night long, it looks gorgeous when it's done!
Now Sap: What can I say about Makayla that could truly express to everyone and my Heavenly Father how grateful I am for her? There are no words...she is a special daughter of God that I do not always feel worthy to raise or be the mother of. I am so grateful for the selflessness, kindness, patience and Christ-like love she continues to show and teach me. I am grateful my other children have the opportunity to share bloodlines and an eternal bond with her. She is a part of my heart and I love her so much!!! We love you KayKay...Mom,Dad,James,Evan,Sadie,and Emily!
