My Preschoolers' First Day

Is the bus coming?

I am so excited!!!

Don't I look pretty in my yellow dress

I can't wait!!
I have two preschoolers' that went to school today. They were both so excited. Makayla couldn't stop talking about Miss Lisa her teacher. Evan kept saying bus, bus, bus! I love that my children who have the hardest time with change are handling everything so well. They both go to afternoon preschool at the same school, but they have different teachers. They get to ride the bus together which really helps with the transition. I sure hope they have a great day!

My First Grader

This is my first grader. He loved his first day of school and has really enjoyed being gone all day. I have not enjoyed having him be gone all day, but I am glad he loves it.

Sadie being....Sadie!
Cutest smile ever!

Makayla and Evan start next week, then I will be down to two kiddos for 3 hours...kinda depressing, but I think it will give me a good break to workout, plan dinner, and get some chores done before they all come home in the afternoon!

Cute Candid's

Here are some cute candid's of Emily with Evan and her daddy. She is already growing up too much!

Anniversary Weekend

Last Friday James and I got to head out for a long anniversary weekend. My mother-in-law was wonderful and watched our babies from Friday to Monday afternoon. We headed to Seattle and had fun shopping at the outlets for our kiddo's. We stayed at a great hotel and went out for dinner. Saturday we went to IKEA, only the best store ever made. If I had an IKEA, Walmart, and Costco in town I could live there for the rest of my existence. We also went out with our best buds Russ and Emily. We met them is Seattle and went to the Cheesecake Factory and then a Mariner's game. I am not a fan of baseball, but going to a baseball game is so much fun. The atmosphere is like nowhere else!  On Sunday we hung out in town with Russ and Emily and they convinced me to not go home on Sunday night to my baby. Leaving Emmy was hard but was a much needed break. Luckily my mother-in-law was gracious enough to stay another day. We played games all Sunday night and left Yakima on Monday morning. All in all it was a great anniversary weekend and had so much fun with our friends. Happy 8 year Anniversary to us and 11 year anniversary to Russ and Emily!

The short end of a crappy stick....

So I do not like complaining, but today I am venting.  I sit here with a crying 19 month old who is teething and misses her daddy. Two boys wrestling that just bumped the chair that there little sister has finally fallen asleep in, and woke her up, and all the time makayla is giggling and flapping as usual. I have about ten loads of laundry to do and a filthy house.

So how is this different than any other week??? One thing...James is gone in Hawaii till next Tuesday  which is our 8 year anniversary!!! That he won't be home for. Did I also mention i am just now getting over the worst case of strep I have ever had and I am weaning Emily this week too!  Let's just say this is the perfect storm for me to rant!

I am sooo tired. I haven't slept since Sunday night and woke up with every single kid at least once and ended up sleeping with two of them...not cool. Oh and did I mention every time James calls he is telling me something cool and totally rad he is doing!! Soo jealous!!! I know that it wouldn't have been a good idea to take a six week old on a plane. And I wouldn't have been able to do a lot of the things they are doing, but it's still a bummer!

Besides that though I went to Walmart all by myself and the kids and actually survived without killing them, yay me! Oh and I got all the stuff on my list, and I let them all go swimming in our backyard afterwards. So yeah I am feeling like I can handle the next few days, but boy oh boy does James owe me!!!! He OWES ME!!!

4th of July

Our fourth of July was nice and quiet. We stayed home as a family and barbecued. We also lit sparklers outside with the boys. The girls all fell asleep by seven, so they missed the fireworks, but they were so worn out from playing outside all day the didn't care. Here are some pictures from our festivities!Sadie's Baby Blues!

Emily's Blessing Day!

Emily's Blessing Day was a wonderful occasion that was shared with lots of family and friends. We blessed her July 1st, 2012 in our ward. Emily was blessed by her daddy, grandpa divis, grandpa McIntire, great Grandpa Divis, Great Uncle Rip Divis, Uncle Jordan Divis, and family friends Russell Carlson and Dustin Busse.

Emily was blessed that she would follow the example of her brother's and sisters, that she would be a good example to her family and friends. She was also blessed with health and that she would live a long life. The last part of her blessing the Spirit was very strong, and she was blessed the she would bless many souls in her lifetime.

Her blessing day was beautiful and a very special moment for all of us. We are so glad little Emily is in our family and we feel her gentle spirit already. We love you Emily Camille! Thanks mom for the beautiful dress and bonnet you made for Emily and the pictures!! Thanks to everyone who came and shared this special occasion with us!

Good News for Makayla!

Well after the six hour blood draw test to check Makayla's growth hormone, we have good news. She doesn't need any!! I was really surprised. We honestly thought this would be the end of the easy stuff with Makayla and we would have to start with the tests and shots and blah, blah, blah. But no...once again the girl defies doctors and the medical world in general. So, she has no need for growth hormone supplement right now and will be checked again in a year...we aren't naive enough to think we are completely done with this. It's always nice to get good news. The only other "thing" we have to do with her this year is get her eye surgery to try and make her right side look a little more normal. This will be her only plastic surgery and the chances of it working are 50/50..but I would rather do it than have her resent us later because we didn't. That surgery is scheduled for August 24th and we are hoping she will pull through it well and be ready for school 2 weeks later. SO...that is my good news for the day! I am hoping my doc can get some things rolling for me today, so this other little girl will make her appearance soon. This is honestly the only good week for her arrival!

Sadie on the Playground

James and I both agree that so far, Sadie, is our most coordinated child. We both have terrible coordination for different reasons and our children have suffered for it. But by some miracle Sadie has it down. I can't believe how grown up she is already, where did my little Sadie Belle go? Well she won't be the baby for much longer and I don't think she will mind much. Here is a video James took of her when they were playing on the playground!

2 Teeth less!

James Micheal lost his two front teeth today. After a lot of crying and screaming on James Micheal's part we got them out. They were just wiggling and he couldn't eat anything hardly because it hurt to eat, so we told him it was time. The first one we tied a string to and by the time we were done, it pretty much came out on its own. We were debating on who would pull the string when James Micheal comes up to us and says' "HELLO!!". The tooth has already fallen out. The other one, we told him we needed to get the blood off his tooth, and James just yanked it out! He is already talking funny, but is happy they are out now. Oh the joys of growing children. Awkward stage begins now!!

The Kid's New Portraits.

Luckily I have a wonderful mother who takes pictures of my kids whenever I want her too. I have 8x10's of each of the kids on my dining room wall, I was contemplating how I needed to move them over to make room for Emily's newborn photo, when I realized that Sadie's is from when she is about 4 months old! Yeah she has changed a bit since then. Evan...pretty much looks the same, that kid never changes! But here they are. My mom just gets better and better. I really love Makayla's too, she is really smiling for the camera! Oh and James Micheal looks like he is ten, that kids goes through a growth spurt once a month. I can't believe Emily will be joining the rosy cheek gang so soon!

My Mother's Day!

What a wonderful mother's day I had this year. It started with yummy apple cream crepes and bacon for breakfast!! My husband is an amazing cook, he also bathed and washed all the kids, cleaned up the kitchen and living room, and did the dishes, and let me sleep in. WONDERFUL!! We went to church and the highlight of the day was watching James Micheal run crying from the pulpit during the primary song. He didn't know the words, got scared and embarrassed and took off running. Everyone was giving him this look like they had so much pity on him, but I was just laughing so hard I could barely contain myself. It was a great memory either way, and I loved that he is such a tender heart!! All the kids, except for Sadie of course, gave me homemade presents they made at school. Evan gave me a cute magnet picture of him, Makayla gave me a marigold and her name brailled on a card. James Micheal gave me an awesome butterfly he made and my first handwritten card from him! I loved them all, I think I need to have a file for all their presents over the years. We went to my parents after church and James got to talk to Dustin and Will who are both on their missions right now. We had yummy kabobs and smores after dinner!!! My mom took great pictures of the kids in their sticky glory. All in all a wonderful night. I am so grateful I can be a mom to these wonderful little kidlets. They are getting too old already!

Emmy's Quilt...

is done!! I won't say it is perfect, I know its not actually but I do like how it turned out. For my first quilt I say it turned out a lot better than I thought I could do on my own. Either way I am sure Emmy will like the bright colors during tummy time and spitting up all over it. I am glad I did a special blanket for her, I think it shows how I feel about each of the kids when I make them a keepsake as babies. I feel like it shows how I think of them as individuals and not as a group. I can't wait to meet her!!

Spur of the moment.

So my husband is super awesome. He is super awesome because Friday morning he called and told me we were going to Seattle with the family and having a spur of the moment trip. He wanted us to go somewhere before I had Emmy. Let's just say we have gone through a lot of stressful things in the last month and a half and everyone needed a break. With MRI's, exams under anesthia, blood testing, genetics testing, influenza A, hand foot and mouth, and a crazy school schedule and tough pregnancy....yeah, we were drained. It was nice to go to the science center, play in the park, and go to ikea. The kids were spoiled with candy and eating whatever they wanted. James was wonderful and carried and chased everything and everyone. And I got some great foot and back rubs from my sons and hubby. Here are pictures in no particular order. And the one of Sadie was just a funny shot James took at home. She did love the mirrored doors at the hotel. She would kiss and talk to her reflection at least three times a day. So cute!! Here is my adorable family, I can't wait till little Emmys smiles are added to the gaggle!!!

Sunglasses, Spongebob, and a Brailler!

This is my daughter Sadie, she has new sunglasses
She looks really cute in them and knows it! This is my son Evan, he has no fashion sense!
But, he is cute and I love him. This is my daughter Makayla. She loves playing with her brailler and loves naming the parts. I am so impressed by how much she learns everyday!
I do have another son...but he is too busy soaking up the sunshine right now! My kids are growing up too fast!
